Monday Night - South Lake Leisure Centre
The Club meets every Monday night (except Public Holidays) at South Lake Leisure Centre from 7.00pm to 8.30pm.A monthly swimming program is prepared in advance by the Club Coach & Club Captain and usually involves the following:
+ The aerobics session is aimed at allowing members the chance to accumulate points for themselves and the Club as part of the annual Masters Swimming National Aerobics Program now known as Endurance 1000.
Saturday Morning - Coogee Beach
Club members keen for an open water swim in the ocean also meet at Coogee Beach Surf Life Saving Club every Saturday morning at 7.30am all year round.
The Winter sessions over the last 4 years have proven really popular with an average of 15-20 swimmers taking a refreshing dip - so come along and try it out. (Hot showers available in the Club's changerooms afterwards).
In Summer, many members also incorporate jogging and cycling before the swim and, with several members committing each year to a Rottnest Channel Swim training program, the start time and distances tend to vary from week to week - although a core group will still meet up to start their swim at 7.30am.
The beauty of swimming at Coogee Beach is that swimmers can choose their distances - maybe 750m, 1,500m or, for those in more serious training, 3km or longer...
